Pattie and family:
My sincere condolences in the loss of a dear partner and father. Although we lost contact in later years, I so recall when Andy's first posting at Bracebridge as a brand new recruit had us sharing an apartment with two other OPP members. He was a terrific guy to room with and we sure had a lot of fun. Great memories! Andy developed into a terrific police officer and eventually a top-notch detective. May you remember all the good times with him as you work through your grief.
Warm regards Ted Green

Many years ago I was a neighbour of the Teeple family, when they lived on Geneva Court. I'm sure I never stood out to them living in an apartment building but what sticks with me most was how immensely friendly Andy was to everyone no matter what societal class you belonged to. Jimmy was the main family member I remember well as he was best friends with Dustin Kelly (who lived in our building). I am so sorry for your loss and by reading through the other tributes I understand and appreciate the great neighbour we had in your Dad and your family. RIP Andy....you definitely made your mark in life and it was a good one.

Our deepest condolences to Teeple family. Andy will be missed.
I had the pleasure and privilege of working with Andy during my time under the AGCO umbrella however I first met Teeps in 1995 at the Brockville detachment shortly after arriving from a northern posting and I was immediately struck by his presence. Professional yet friendly. In his suit he looked like a detective fresh from a movie set. Impressive to say the least.
Andy gave much weight to the “if they make fun of you they like you” credo and boy, Teeps made fun of me. That always made me smile. If he didnt swear at me in some form or fashion at coffee in the morning, I would have asked him if there was a problem but he never let me down. Ive never been called so many names and made fun of so much by anyone. I loved every “insult” he threw at me. On the other hand I have never witnessed such professional and gentlemanly behavoiur when he was dealing with the public. A true gent. Always.
Andy liked to tease me about my growing up in Belleville and he would remind me often that the best thing out of Belleville was the road to Trenton. I loved that jab. I still do.
Rest in peace Teeps. Thanks for all the laughter and the stories and your wisdom. Im sure you are lighting up the room wherever your kind soul is now residing.
Until we meet again.

hello
I had the privilege of working with Andy in Prescott Ontario when he was an O.P.P officer assigned to " Projrct Jericho." I considered him a good friend as well as a colleague. Andy was one of the kindest gentlest most decent men I hve ever met He also had an unwavering clear eyed sense of duty and honesty. As a police officer he he was a great detective in a quiet unassuming way, the kind people underestimated until it was too late, as mnny a suspect found to their cost.
People outside had no idea of the immense stress and strain that case brought to bear on the members of our team. Andy bore it all with immense courage and dignity and never once did i see him treat anybody, whether victim or suspect, with anything but consideration and respect. That was one of the things that made him such s great detective
He was also immense fun....great to be around great to travel with....a wonderful low key wry sense of humor. a great raconteur
When a high stress, high intensity thing like Jericho ends..everyone goes their separate ways and tries to get back to their real lives, but as the years passed Andy stayed with me and situations would arise and i would hear his voice in my head....going "Now Desmond are you sure about that..."...he only used my full name when he was serious about something or when something really bothered him...
I will never forget him
Desmond

I had the honor to work with Andy at the start of my career and at the end of his. When he retired he returned to work at the AGCO where I was seconded and was able to work with him again until he left the agency which was a huge loss to us all. In policing he was a legend of a detective. He taught myself and many others the trade craft of investigation. He was a devoted father who often spoke of his children and their accomplishment. He was brilliant, kind, a gentleman, hilarious, and ever so sharp and quick witted. He was often the brunt of jokes and gags and handled them with class and was a savage with the one liner insults as a comeback. Andy worked with my father as well and I enjoyed listening to his stories about my father after my dad's passing. Heartfelt condolences go out to Andy's family, Kelseys Krew, coworkers and friends. They don't make men like Andy too often. God speed my friend.

Andy was such a genuine and positive person. I am so thankful to have met him. He was such a delightful man. Everyone cherished his presence. I didn’t (thankfully) know him when he was a cop, but he was always full of wisdom that he passed on to me. I appreciated every single word of knowledge and advice he gave to me. I wish I could send him an eternal “splash” up there in heaven.
