Obituary of Shirley Clara Nichols

Nichols, Shirley Clara (née Warner) of Brockville passed peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on January 25th in her 97th year.  

She had a long and healthy life. Along with her husband Allan she established a successful business and raised three sons. She was an avid quilter and square dancing was a passion. She enjoyed her summers at Sand Lake and spent many winters in Florida. She loved her friends and family unconditionally and couldn’t spend enough time with them. 

She is survived by her son Bob and grandchildren Craig (Donnahbel), and Scott (Emily) and great grandchildren Caleb, Josiah, Colton and Grayson. Peter (Jeannie) and granddaughter Jennifer (Eric) Donohue and great grandchildren - Hazel and Fiona. David (Paula) – and grandchildren Meaghan, Erin, Joseph and Abbey and great grandson Huxley. Also survived by her two nieces Dianne (Bruce) Standing and their children Rebecca, Alyna and Jesse and Carol (Tony) Crawford and their children Nicholas and Lindsay. She was predeceased by her husband Allan Nichols and one brother Charles (Bud) Warner and his wife Gwenyth and her parents William and Mildred (Robinson) Warner.

A private family service will take place in the spring. In memory of Shirley, donations to BDHF Palliative Care would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
