Heartfelt condolences to the Nichols and extended families. Shirley will always hold a special place in my heart. Although I was unfortunately too young to remember the many visits by Shirley, Alan and Bud, my parents have described many happy hours together. When I began researching my family history Shirley was a gracious and invaluable source, being the only one to have spent time with my great grandfather. She was fiercely proud of him, and rightly so, he having endured a young life as a Barnardo Homechild and going on to start a family and a successful local business. Shirley was a proud and lovely lady and I will miss her greatly and remember her often. May happy memories of her life help console her family in the times ahead.
