Entered into rest, surrounded by his family, at the Brockville General Hospital Charles St. Site on Friday December 7th, 2018. Gerry Throop of Maitland, age 79 years. Beloved husband, for over 55 years, of Lorraine (St. John) Throop. Loving father of Wayne Throop (Michelle) of Kanata and Steven Throop (Caroline) of Brockville. Proud Papa of Carley, Jacob, Joshua, Jordan and Ella. Dear brother of Keith Throop (Dorothy) and brother in law of Noreen St. John and Muriel Merkley. Dear son of the late Alden and Blanche (Hough) Throop. Also survived by many very special nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. E., Brockville, on Wednesday December 12th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Chapel on Thursday December 13th, 2018 at 11a.m. Interment at Maynard Cemetery.
