Very sad to hear of Michael’s passing.
I had the unique experience of working with Michael as his sound engineer at the Arts Center for the last 4 years on too many productions to count. No matter how long the day or how stressful the situation became Michael always provided an unmeasurable level of Patience with everyone involved.
Every time I worked with Michael he always found time to tell me about his Family.
Many nights we would finish in the early hours and Michael would tell us he would be up again at 6am for a hockey game . He was always the first person at the show and the last to leave
Most of all my memory of Michael is that he was truly a Man who spent everyday so very proud of his children.

Still shocked with the news that Michael is no longer with us. To Tamara and the kids, our sincere condolences.
Michael always had a smile, no matter how or what he was feeling. A very gentle man, one who we should all aspire to emulate. A very caring man - for many years, he made certain my mother was properly seated at the Arts Centre, even though it was not his job.
They say God works in mysterious ways. There is no way, however, to stop the hurt of the loss of one of the kindest, gentlest, most generous-of-soul from amongst us.
Our prayers are with you.

I just wanted to send my condolences to Mike's family. I haven't seen Mike in years, but remained friends with him on Facebook. I was one of the graduates of SLC's music theatre program and loved working with Mike when our shows got to the BAC. He always had the biggest smile and was just the warmest man. Like everyone else, I was in complete shock and disbelief when I heard the news of his passing. Through his Facebook I loved hearing all the updates about his family, it was so clear how much he loved and cared about you. He will be dearly missed by so many near and far! I wish I could have made it to Brockville to pay my respects. I keep you all in my heart at this time.

I knew Mike from bands we played together under Brenda Walsh at Rennie. In high School I'm sure he got upset or annoyed but he never showed any anger and was always calming. He was a gentle giant. He was kind too. Not in the flashy way, but in the sincere way that is truly and deeply appreciated. He would listen carefully and was never mean even to joke. My condolences to his family he will be missed by all who knew him.

Our connection to Michael was through the theatre and its forces of love, creativity and regeneration. Over the past thirty productions, as we entered the Arts Centre for each production week, there was Michael, slight smile, almost as if to say "well here we go again." And we always did. Every time. Thank you Michael.
Our condolences to his family.

I was so very saddened to hear of Michael's sudden passing. He was a very dedicated, hard worker and always helpful and a pleasure to talk with. My son, Lucas Denneboom, volunteered and worked at the Arts Centre under Michael's supervision. He learned a great deal from Michael and always spoke highly of him. He told me that he loved Michael's sense of humour. He also told me how much Michael treasured his wife and family. I'm sure it will be very difficult to find someone to fill Michael's shoes. He will be missed by so many. My condolences to his family, friends and co-workers.

I had the privilege to work alongside Michael at the BAC during my time at St. Lawrence College. The tough guy persona that he dawned when giving his safety walk was countered by his terrible (amazing) puns. His attitude made those long and stressful tech weeks obtainable. His passion towards theatre resonated through me and this tragic news has shaken me. My deepest and sincere condolences go out to the family. I will never forget Michael or the lessons he imparted to me.
