What memories Sylvia and I have of visiting the Oakley family when we were little girls. Evelyn and Cathy made us so welcome. We looked up to these big girls so much! We always loved our visits to Gan and the cottage. Ev would take us out in the boat, sometimes without the grown ups! She and Cathy played games with us. As we grew older, the visits continued, but with more time in between. I do cherish the memories of the closeness of our two families; the Oakleys and Oikles. Ev will be missed by many, I know, but I just wanted to share that she is remembered very fondly by those little girls.
