Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on Monday May 30th. 2005. The former Verna Sophia Mary Empey aged 83 years. Beloved wife of the late Keith Topping. Dear Mother of James Kelly (Dorothy) of Toronto, Twila Durant (Arnold) of Brockville, Maride McNish (Garry) of Lyn, Nancy Holmes (Bruce) of Brockville and Joseph Topping (Susette) of Mallorytown. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Sidney and Bertha Empey, a son Keith and Brothers Arthur and Charles Empey. Friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. East on Thursday June 2nd. 2005 from 7-9 p.m. A private graveside interment will take place at Mallorytown Cemetery at a later date.
