With much sadness we announce the passing of Ted (Ties) Spyk who entered into rest at St. Vinent de Paul Hospital on the 14th, of May 2005 at the age of 72, after a courageous battle with cancer. Leaving here to mourn are his wife Dena of 51 years and his chosen daughter Carline Belanger and her husband Gerry. He will be missed by Carline's children Jeff (Mary), Janice (Mike) and 5 Grandchildren. Ted also leaves sister's Peggy, Dena (Hank) and one brother John (Jennie) all in Delfzyl, Netherlands to mourn as well as sister in laws & brother in laws, nieces and nephews from the Netherlands and the USA. Friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl St. East Brockville on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday May 17, 2005 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Geri Johnston officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations to the Hospice of Providence Palliative Care, CHEO or the Charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
