Peacefully in hospital, Ottawa, March 31st. 2006 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of 63 years of Helen (Nee Ainsworth), dearest father of Janice Ritchie (Eric) and proud Gramps of Ellyn and Jonathan. Predeceased by brother William and sisters Madge, Sarah, Mary and Flora. Lovingly remembered for his humour and charm by Jerry and Jean Ainsworth and his many nieces, nephews and friends. The family thanks the Brockville Red Cross, the caring staff of Stillwater Creek Retirement Residence, Nepean, who welcomed John in February. Special thanks to the wonderful 4th. floor staff at the Queensway Carleton Hospital Private Funeral Service to be followed by a memorial celebration in Brockville at a later date.
