Entered into rest peacefully, with her family by her side, at the Kingston General Hospital on Saturday May 13th. 2006. The former Lois Pearl Darling, of RR4, Lansdowne, aged 68 years. Beloved wife of Malcolm Adelbert Roantree. Dear mother of Lorie Cross of Lansdowne, Shelley Cross (Michael) of Gananoque, Rhonda Roantree (Keith) of Merrickville and Douglas Roantree(Angela) of Gananoque. Grandmother of Shawn, Ryan,Alicia and Gregory Cross, Kyle, Dylan and Dayna Snowdon, Jarrett and Mitchell Roantree. Dear sister of Mervyn Darling (Lois), Floyd Darling all of Smiths Falls, Don Darling(Elva) of London,ON and Linda Mackie (Bill) of Smiths Falls. Also survived by her mother and father-in -law Roy and Annabelle Roantree, brothers in law Murray Roantree (Rhea) and Marvin Roantree all of Gananoque and a sister in law Beth Sanden (Brian) of Fort McMurray,Alberta as well as several nieces and nephews. Pre deceased by her parents Gordon and Mamie Barrett Darling, 2 sisters Annabelle and June and a brother Arthur. Friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home ,1033 Prince Street, Lansdowne on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday May 17th. 2006 at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Gananoque Cemetery at a later date.
