Obituary of Violet M. Kernell

Passed away quietly in her sleep, at the Carveth Care Centre, Gananoque on Friday, January 26th. 2007, in her 96th. year. Daughter of the Late Timothy and Florence Griffin of Sand Bay. Wife of the late Lt. Col. Louis Kernell, U.S. Army. Violet is survived by a daughter Kathy Lee Fabian and two grandsons Andrew and Kevin Fabian of Mesa, Arizona. She will be sadly missed by her many relatives and friends and also her constant companion for the last 10 years, George MacDonald. Violet was the youngest of her family. Predeceased by her brothers Mansell, Erm, James, William and sisters Florence, Vine and Annabel. Friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, Lansdowne on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 2pm. Interment will be in Gananoque Cemetery at a later date. In memoriams to the Hospice of Providence Palliative Care would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Florence Nightingale Chapter No. 5 O.E.S. will hold a Memorial Service at the Funeral Home on Monday afternoon, January 29th. 2007 at 4 p.m. All sister Lodges are invited. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:45 p.m. by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 484, Mallorytown.
