Peacefully at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital, Smiths Falls Site on Sunday, January 7th. 2007. Albert Lawrence Amyotte of Smiths Falls (formerly of Brockville), age 78 years. Beloved husband of the former Emily Hogan and the late Bunnie Amyotte. Dear father of Susan Shannon and her husband Dale of Brockville, Stephanie Bates and her husband Barry of Nepean, Jeff Amyotte and his wife Giselle of Kingston and Cindy Myatt and her husband Joe of Halifax. Stepfather of Eleanor Demarais of Montreal and Donald Hogan and his wife Dianne of Portland. Affectionately known as "Buddy" to his eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Brother of Blanche MacCormack of Orleans, Dorothy Smith of Florida, James Amyotte and his wife Lorraine of Halifax and Bernie Amyotte and his wife Faye of Brockville. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents William and Philomene Souliere Amyotte and two brothers William (Midge) and Rolland (Rolly) Amyotte. Friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street, East, Brockville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Liturgy of the Christian Funeral will be Celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church, Brockville on Thursday, January 11th. 2007 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, in memoriams to the Kidney Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
