Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on Monday January 22, 2007. The former Shirley Nelda Steele of Brockville aged 70 years. Beloved wife of John Gunter Sr. Dear mother of John Gunter Jr. (Dorothy), Karen Bugden (Randy), Barb Beams (Clem), Shirley Murphy (Jim), Marilyn Gunter (Doug) and Tina Seely (Brad). Mrs Gunter is survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Gunter is also survived by a sister Marilyn Kroone (Harry) and brother William Steele (Marie) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother Nelda Cowan and by her father Dave Steele, step-father Wes Cowan, brothers Mike Steele and Wesley Earle Steele and a sister Elaine Steele. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. East, Brockville on Wednesday from 12-2 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday January 24th, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at a later date.
