Peacefully on July 9th. at the Brockville General Hospital, Samuel Stocker, born August 24, 1922, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Harvanka). Loving father of Betty (Thane Prideaux, Calgary), Cathy (John Gogo, Peterborough), Susan (Tom Blanchard, Brockville) and Janet (Lou McGuire, Greely). Cherished grandfather to Lauren, Joelle, Kerry, Mitchell and James. Fondly remembered by his nephews and nieces. Predeceased by his parents Ernest Stocker and Annette (nee Prevost) of Longueuil, Quebec and siblings Albert Stocker (Montreal), Agnes Milne (Longueuil) and Jack Stocker (Niagara Falls). Special thanks to Dr. Appleby and the caring nurses at the BGH. Visitation at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street, East, Brockville on Wednesday, July 11th, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Liturgy of the Christian Funeral will be Celebrated at St. John Bosco Church, Windsor Dr on Thursday, July 12th. 2007 at 1 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, at a later date.
