Obituary of Earl Powell
Peacefully entered into rest, surrounded by his family, at the Carveth Care Centre in Gananoque on Tuesday November 12th, 2024, Earl Powell of Lansdowne aged 97 years. Beloved husband of Barbara (Smith) Powell. Loving father of Cindy McCarthy (John), Debbie Goff (David) and Brian Powell (Suzanne) all of Lansdowne. Cherished grandfather of Erica Beaulieu (Andy), Andrea Reid (Matt Cross), Justin Goff and Ashley and Nicholas Powell. Cherished great-grandfather of Rachel and Reese. Dear son of the late Fred and Mary (Nash) Powell; and brother of Madeline Woods (late Allan), Raymond Powell (Esther), Vera Seymour (late Doug), Bertha Olson and his late siblings Margaret, Francis, Herb, Howard, Arthur, Leland, Clarence, Susan, Katherine, Rose and Evelina.
Family and friends will be received for visitation at the Barclay Funeral Home, 1033 Prince Street, Lansdowne, Ontario on Tuesday November 19th, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. immediately followed by the Funeral Service to celebrate Earl’s life in the Chapel. A private family Interment will be held at a later date at the Escott Cemetery. In memory of Earl donations to the Alzheimer Society of Lanark Leeds Grenville or the Brockville District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care would be greatly appreciated by the family.
