Betty Box

Obituary of Betty Box

It is with great sadness we mention the passing of Betty Box (nee Simpson) age 77 years with her family by her side.

Betty’s most enjoyment in life was her family as they were loved more than words could express!

Teaching the Grands how to bake was a passion as was making cut out and decorated cookies for the different times of year. Everyone always enjoyed the donuts along with any of the other home baked goodies.

Toiling in the kitchen baking was a favourite pastime along with crocheting, sister breakfasts, out for lunch with friends and of course Bees Knees!

COPD was Betty’s downfall for a number of years as it eventually ended in Palliative Care.

Leaving behind her caregiver, best friend and love of her life Glen.

Glen and Betty had two precious daughters Lisa Roth (Leonard) and Angela Box-McKenna.

The Grands are Leonard A. Roth (Arial), Lauren & Liana Roth (Cam), Megan Box & Madison McKenna (Isaiah) and the treasured Greats, Savannah Roth, Dominic Jordan, Larson, Ayla & Lance Roth.

As per Betty’s wishes there will be no service. In Lieu of this, a Celebration of Life at Christ United Church in Lyn will be forthcoming!

Sadly missed by siblings Linda, Florence (deceased), Shirley, Patsy, Barbara, Mary (deceased), Reggie, Cindy, Debbie, Carol, Fay and Penny along with their significant others. Also leaving behind Peter Andress, Gerard McKenna and the late Bill Latimer along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents Herb and Bea Simpson.

A hearty thank you to Dr. Steacie and Dr. Jaworski as well as all the folks at Palliative Care along with Barb DeJeet for their home visits!

Please, in lieu of any flowers a donation to the United Church in Lyn & the Bees Knees Group would be greatly appreciated by the family.
