Obituary of Stephen Harold Sanderson

Stephen (Steve) Harold Nelson Sanderson, entered into rest on Sunday July ^7th  at the age of 64, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Steve will be dearly missed by his spouse Diane (nee Perry), children, Sarah (Matt) Adams and Wade (Melissa), grandchildren Paisley, Hazel, Cade and Everett, mother Olive (nee Goldthorpe), sister Sue,  mother in-law Christa Perry,  Brother in-law Hazen (Tracy Fretwell) Perry, numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved cat Jack Daniels.

Steve is predeceased by his sister Lynn, father Reg and father in-law Ron Perry.

Steve is known by many in the community from his dedication and  years of working at his family’s business, 1000 Islands Sales & Rentals.

Steve was a good ol’ redneck country boy with a heart of gold who loved to laugh. He loved his family more than anything, especially his children and grandchildren. Steve lived his life by his motto of having to make at least three people smile a day, which was an easy task for his larger than life personality.

A special thank you to Steve’s best friend Ted (Diane) Pakeman, Care Partners (Steve), St. Elizabeth’s Health Care and Brockville General Hospital Palliative Care.

As per Steve’s wishes there will be a Celebration of Life with family and friends at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations would be greatly appreciated to Brockville General Hospital Palliative Care or SPCA of Leeds and Grenville.
