At last at peace with his family by his side, Frank Hayward born in 1916, passed away on October 25th, 2007 at the Brockville General Hospital, Palliative Care Unit. Frank was a WW11 Veteran with the 48th. Highlanders who served in Italy and Holland. Frank was predeceased by by his 5 brothers. He is survived by Muriel, his wife of 62 years, his daughter Donna (David) and was grandpa to Erika and Ian Hirtle, all of Brockville. A Private ceremony will be followed by cremation. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Barclay Funeral Home. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks for the professional care given to Frank at the Elmgrove Unit, Dr. Malone, Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Palliative Care Site and Dr. Steacie. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer Society or the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care) would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
