Obituary of Heather Colleen Greer
Heather Colleen (Toohey) Greer of Brockville, passed away on March 2, 2024 in her home, at the age of 66. Heather was born at St. Vincent de Paul in Brockville on October 29, 1957.
Heather loved and is survived by her husband of 46 years, Donald; her daughter, Samantha (Brian Reid); her grandson, Benjamin; her mother, Carole; her brother, Campbell; her mother-in-law, Shirley; her sisters-in-law, Sandra, Brenda and Cathy, and many extended family members. She was a lover of all animals, but cats had a special place in her heart, and in particular, her tuxedo cat, Frank. She is cherished deeply as a wife, mother, Granny, daughter, sister, aunt, and best friend, and her passing has left a hole in our hearts.
Heather lived her life in Brockville and spent the better part of five decades living on the farm with her loving husband. There was nothing more important to her than her family, and she was a protective older sister to her brother Campbell growing up. Heather grew into a smart and funny young woman, qualities that were obvious her entire life. When she became a wife and mother, she devoted her life to her small family. Heather remained close with her brother and mother her entire life, and was absolutely thrilled to become Granny in 2021. Heather was known for her cooking and baking, as well as her quick wit and unapologetically-me character.
Heather loved absolutely fiercely and was generous and loyal. She proudly supported many local vendors and businesses, and various charities through the years.
Family and friends will be received at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Thursday March 7th, 2024 from 2:00 ~ 4:00 & 6:00 ~ 8:00 p.m. In memory of Heather and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Charity of your Choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
