Obituary of Theresa Marie Rose Green
It is with very heavy hearts that we said goodbye to Therese “Terry” Green on Wednesday February 14th, 2024. She fought like the warrior that she was and passed away peacefully with grace and dignity.
Therese Fontaine was born in Lancaster Ontario, September 22, 1945. Preceded in death by her parents Armand and Laurette Fontaine of Cornwall.
Terry leaves behind her adoring husband, Robert Green, with whom she shared a life filled with love and laughter. Married for almost 59 years, together they raised two beautiful children, Cheryl Donovan (John) and Don, and owned and operated a successful family business, Brockville Cleaners Ltd.. In Terry’s leisure time she enjoyed bowling, golfing, and shuffleboard in Florida and later at the Brockville Legion.
Terry, lovingly known as GG, leaves behind her broken hearted granddaughters, Alisha and Daron Donovan, with whom she had one of the most special bonds. Her most favourite pastime was spending time with them, time that was cherished by all. Terry will be missed by her sister in-law, nieces, cousins, extended family and multiple friends.
At Terry and Bob’s request cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life for immediate family members at a future date. There will not be a visitation or service. The family wants to give a special thanks to Sarah Moulton whose care and compassion for mom went above and beyond.
Aside from family, her other passion was animals. Donations in her name to the Brockville OSPCA would be very much appreciated.
