Sincere condolences to Kay and Josephine for the loss of your beloved brother, and to the Lappan family. Uncle Jim and Aunt Ann were my “East Coast parents.” Over the years, they provided unwavering support as I followed my hockey dreams making long road trips to attend as many of my games and tournaments as possible. After the game, Uncle Jim was there with kind word (and often a helpful tip), always wanting me to improve and succeed. Uncle Jim was always ready to share a Blue, talk hockey, and recount adventures from his younger days.
Uncle Jim, I’ll miss your smile, your sense of humor, and most of all your huge heart. Safe travels as you head home to meet Aunt Ann. With love, Michelle.

Dear Kaye, Josephine and families,
Our heart felt condolences to you upon Jim's passing.
We have so many wonderful memories of visits over the years. Jim was so welcoming and fun.
The tractor rides were a highlight for our kids Michelle and Bret and also our grand kids who experienced one during our last visit.
He will be greatly missed by many of us, but Ann will be overjoyed to meet him again.
We wish you peace and comfort.
Sent with sadness and love, from Jane and Mike

Though Jim was an uncle to me…..he also acted as a father figure in my life…. which I appreciated very much. He loved visiting Grandma (Christine) and Harold (Step-grandfather) when they owned the farm on Railway Road. I remember him getting me up at 5 o’clock Saturday mornings to work on the farm….fencing etc. I remember when he bought a beetle Volkswagen and he would fish tail down dirt roads and drive through fields having a great time. He loved sports, hockey, including women’s hockey. When I finished high school…he encouraged me to go to college in Belleville….which I did and am thankful for that. I could relate many other stories of the positive effect he had on my life…too many. Darlene and I, my son Dustin and two daughters Leah and Meghan will miss him very much. We offer our condolences to all family members. We hope to see him again in the resurrection of the dead in the very near future along with his wife Ann.

Uncle Jim always had that ear to ear smile. He loved to tease and joke with us. A bigger hockey fan I will never know. Rest in peace Uncle Jim. Join in honoring their life - plant a memorial tree
