I delivered meals to Carol every Friday. The two of us instantly bonded over our shared love of dogs. Both of our dogs passed within days of each other, and we cried together. Shortly after, she received her diagnosis. Through it all, she remained positive. She knew where she was going. I was happy to have called her my friend, if even for a short time. My sympathies to her son and her extended family. She was a wonderful lady.
