Obituary of Edwin Simpson Graham

We share our tears of sorrow but also celebrate a life of joy as we say goodbye to our beloved Ed (88 years); husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Will be greatly missed by beloved wife, Pat, close of almost 66 years (December 1); sons Stephen Graham, and Greg Graham (Suzanne predeceased), daughter Kim Barr (Dale). Deeply loved and celebrated by his grandkids, who he made laugh with his constant jokes and riddles – Nadine Gagnon (Marc); Mitch Graham (Brynn); Nicole Barr (Coleman Bak); Chanel Halladay; Spencer Graham (Mercedes Maarup) and Shayna Graham (Austin de Luis). Ed also had four beautiful great grandkids Willow Halladay, Jake Gagnon, Hudson Gagnon, and Lachlan Bak.

Best words to describe Ed “he was a character”. Fondly known as Fast Eddy, was friend to many and loved to discuss world issues, politics, and his family. Ed was a teacher, a joker, a kidder, and storyteller. He had high expectations of himself and his family, was always supportive and loving but most of all was so very proud of his kids and grandkids accomplishments and how well they all turned out .

Ed loved to garden, do chores around his home (and others!), was a handyman, instructor, supervisor, and boss.

Ed had many friends and an extended family including his brother Jimmy Graham (Christianne Barnett) and sisters Sandra and Margie (predeceased).

Many thanks to the BGH and its staff for the care and compassion; thank you to the Kingston General Hospital Cancer Ward and the doctors and nurses who provided such wonderful care to Ed over the years.
