Thinking of Yves brings a smile to our faces. He was always such a warm, happy guy – we never saw him be grumpy. It was clear that he loved his “chou chou” (Paula) dearly. We’re so fortunate that we had a chance to visit this past June to see you both. During our visit, he was still the Yves we remember, as a smiling and thoughtful person always wanting to please his guest. It was always a joy to be around him and share stories and laugh while sitting on the balcony or at the dining table. We send our love to you and your family in this sad time.

Yves was the "Salt of the Earth" type of guy; a humble, kind and giving person. It was through his simplicity and positive attitude that he touched us the most. Yves and Paula welcomed us into their lives when we all moved to Brockville in 2012. We could always count on them to help us and entertain us with generosity and humour no matter the circumstances. Armando and Yves spent many happy mornings eating breakfast together at all the local spots, talking cars, local happenings, current events or whatever. Yves' joyful "Right On Man" and hearty laugh would ring out from time to time. These and many, many happy memories bring a smile to our faces and console us. We will miss Yves immensely and we grieve with Paula the passing of this generous, loving spirit. Aline and Armand La Fleche

Yves was a lovely, warm, caring man. We have fond memories of his visit with Paula to our home in Geneva. He was a delight to be around. We remember lots of laughs and good times. We won’t forget how much he enjoyed that Ferrari outing in Nice. We remember him as a man who was good at everything. We appreciated what a wonderful partner he was to Paula. It is with great sadness that I heard of Yves's passing. It was my immense pleasure to know him while working at Turpin Pontiac Buick GMC, from 1979 to 1992. I was fortunate to meet and work with Rene, Yves, Lise and Benoit. I offer my sincere condolences to the whole family., MAY HE REST IN INFINITE PEACE.
