My condolences to Carls family. I had a pleasure spending some time with Carl. He always welcomed you with hugs, his smile is the one thing reminds me how happy he was to see you. He loved to share stories, and show his collections from his heritage, and was so good at listening. When Showing around the farm you can tell how hard working he was, and when your surprised or ask questions , he was so proud and you can see how natural it was for him to be where he lived. He worked hard daily, but seeing him rest in his favourite chair and chat was pleasant. It was a pleasure to know him and my deep thoughts are to his family and the dear once he cared for and worried about. Rest In Peace sweet Carl. Hugs

To Carol, Ron and family - I am so sorry for your loss. I have often heard Chrissy and Kayla tell of visits to the barn and playing with the barn kittens...one of which I had in my home for a time. I'm certain they have fond memories of their visits with Carl.
Take care

Our condolences to the nieces and nephews of Carl. He was a man with a quick shy smile who as neighbours, shared a meal or two around our kitchen table; my mother and he reminiscing about the good old days, or the "best days" as Carl would say. He is the second last of our original neighbours on our country road. Carl's honesty and integrity earned him the respect of all who knew him. Rest in Peace dear neighbour.

To Carl's family and extended family - your loss is everyone's loss. Carl was a quiet man of great integrity and knowledge. One never left a visit with Carl without coming away appreciating the simpler times. Hard work was his life. Carl was a walking history lesson and we are all richer for his many, many stories (some of them repeats!) but truly, a wonderfully rich storyteller.
Carl will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Rest in Peace Carl. You've earned your reward.
Sincere condolences on the loss of this lovely, gentle man.
Cliff and Jennifer Rogers
