Passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Brockville General Hospital on Thursday June 9, 2022. Allan Borden Loney of Brockville, formerly of Ottawa aged 69 years. Allan is survived by his dear sisters Donna Armstrong (the late Richard), Marlene Ferguson, his brother-in-law Mancel Cummings and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Borden and Helen (Bickerton) Loney, sister Joan Cummings, a niece Kimberly Armstrong and cousins Bill and Chris Loney. Allan will be fondly remembered by everyone including dear cousins, friends and colleagues from his decades of employment at the National Research Council. A special thank you to Caregiver Jodi Hutchins, Dr. Cagianno of the Ottawa General Hospital, Dr. Van Jaarsveld, BGH Palliative Care Staff, Nurse Kathleen and the Care Teams at Bayshore Home Health. A private family graveside service will be held at the All Saints Anglican Cemetery, Greely. In memory of Allan and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
