How sorry I am to hear of Shan's passing. Shan and I started school together at the West Side School in 1946, and remained great friends until her death. We, too, played Words with Friends on the computer and stayed in touch over the miles that way. My sincerest condolences to her family.

Scott and Kelli,
I spent quite a bit of time during our high school days at the Warder home with your family and have so many great memories of both Shan and Evan. Your mom was always eager to assist us with our science fair projects and that had an impact on who and where we are today. I was saddened to hear of her passing and my thoughts are with you both.

Dear Kelly and Scott,
Your Mom was such a dear lady and everyone loved her. She always had a smile and a care for everyone in her neighborhood, at TISS and at St John Bosco Church.
I often walked over to her home on Comstock where we sat inside or outside to talk like good friends do. I heard all about Scott and Lora, Mason and Dylan, AJ and Amanda and how much Kelly loved living and working in TO. If truth be told, she really missed her family but was so pleased to keep in touch on her IPAD all through the day and NIGHT. I know because I played WWF (Words with Friends) until the wee hours where we offered plenty of friendly competition for each other and took advantage of their chat box.
Sometimes we talked about her days at TISS when she worked in the Library. She had taken a special interest in my daughter, Jennifer, and researched many selections just for her. In fact, I suspect it may have been part of the catalyst that created our Jennifer, the Bookie.
In between Shan took care of her next door neighbor Vivian who could be seen walking the Superstore aisles together or an evening atbbthe BAC. Or at the Barley Mow enjoying a breakfast plate with her dear friends from church; Olga, Brian, Ginette, Ellen, Mike, and Brian, Rita and Jennifer. Once in a while, Fr Jacob joined the table.
Shan was very sincere when she declared that Fr Jacob was truly her saving grace after she lost her huband Evan in 2014. Oh, oh, she was so proud and happy to be the Church Sacristan.
And we are so proud and happy to call Shan and Evan our dear friends,
Always,
Mary Anne, Rick and Jennifer Bowman
Oh, how Shan

Kelli & Scott,
I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I have many fond memories of your parents while I was growing up on Comstock Crescent and through church as well. They were always genuinely interested on what was going on in my life, and I would always get an update on the two of you as well. She was such a warm, and caring person, one of the most genuine souls I have ever met. Please know I am thinking and praying for both of you.

Shan's Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Shan was wonderful person. Shan and Evan were neighbors of my late mother in law Hazel Forbes on Comstock Cres, They were very good friends. When my wife Sandra died, Shan called me. That's how special and caring she was.
My children when we visited always wanted to see Mr. and Mrs. "Wardy" they couldn't pronounce Warder.
Please accept my condolences. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Bill Fayle.

Dear Kelli, Scott and family sending our love, prayers and deepest sympathy to you during your time of great loss.
Aunt Shan was very precious to us she had a bright caring soul that allowed her to give her love freely to everyone. We are already missing her, our hearts are empty without her. She gave so much joy, encouragement and love to our family. Our time was spent together over the phone/face time discussing how much she loved her grandchildren and how proud she was of each and every family member. She always made us feel so special and truly loved. She is with her Lord now and Uncle Evan. “Rest in peace Aunt Shan, you are forever loved and remembered and will never be forgotten”. As she would say when ending our calls, “LOVE YOU ALL”

My sincere condolences to the Warder family. I first met Shan when she worked at TISS. She was such a gentle and caring person and always had a smile on her face and always willing to stop and chat with anyone. Many lunches were shared with Shan and the girls from the office. I shall miss this wonderful lady and she will be missed by so many others.

My deepest condolences to you Kelli and Scott.
Shan had the sweetest spirit and such a love for life. A memory like no other and a gift to tell family stories with such excitement. Every time she spoke I reminded her how much she sounded like her mom, my Aunt Ann. Shan loved to reminisce. Our conversations were at great length. She spoke so fondly of her church and the deep love for her grandchildren. Shan had a strong faith and a great sense of community. I feel so blessed to have reconnected with her and to have had these last two years spending our time together. Shan filled a place in my heart that truly needed her love. In loving memory , Heather (cousin from Nova Scotia)

It was my very distinct privilege and pleasure to have known Shana for the last few years. She quickly became a very dear friend and acquaintance. My interactions with her mainly due to Covid have been very limited recently but it was always such an uplift to meet and chat with her. My sympathies and condolences on the loss of Shana and I will pray God grants you HIS peace and HIS presence during these difficult days.

Hello Scott and Kelli. I have known your mom for many years. Your dad worked with my father at Abbott and I got to know your parents through that connection. Both of your parents were always so kind and interested in me and my life and as iI went through my life stages, post secondary, got married and had my kids i would frequently run into them . They would tell me about you two and i would update them on my life.
My husband and I later then moved to the north end and would frequently run into your mom out walking (after your dad passed) and we would once again catch up.
She and your dad were such kind people and it always felt like no time had passed since we had last spoke. I did not know she was unwell and I am sad to know we will not run into her this spring and catch up. She was proud of her family! I will miss seeing her around. Debbie (Guilboard) Jonkman
