Awe, I am so very sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. For years , Joan and Pat lived across the street from us in Manotick, with Dusty. I taught with Joan at St. Mark then I moved on to South Carleton where I taught in Pat’s Business Department.Umm, Pat was such a gentleman and so very proud of his sons, Paul and Joe. I felt that we knew them well. Vince and I are very sorry for your loss of wonderful parents! Nancy and Vincent Boutilier

Jayne, and all families and loved ones, my thoughts and prayers are with you in your sadness. Patrick was a teacher who truly loved his job and made a difference in many lives. If only we could duplicate his teaching skills in others, it would mean so much to so many. I'm sure he passed it on to his family and they will take his lead in all his examples. I will continue to pray for you all as you go through the grieving process which will be different for everyone. Your loved one is at rest now. Remember the love and joy he shared, and know he would like you to continue on the way he did after losing a loved one. Rip Patrick

Patrick Brophy was such an amazing man. He was a wonderful, kind, thoughtful friend. It is still very unreal to use a past tense. He will not be forgotten by so many of us in Brockville that loved him. We may not have heard him say Carpe Diem, but we all heard him challenge us to find Happiness in each new day. We will do that Patrick.

Our deepest condolences are extended to Pat's family.
We were neighbours on Swan Lane for many years. My husband Tony was a student at Osgoode High School when Pat taught there. We will never forget Pat and Joan as warm, friendly and sincere neighbours.
I still remember his smiling face as he delivered our weekend newspaper to our door from up the lane—such a kind and generous gesture that we appreciated.
Warmest regards,
Tony, Lynne, Lana and David

I’m so sorry to learn of Pat’s death. We attended Clarkson and played hockey together. The Sudbury boys would travel to Pembroke where Pat would drive us the rest of the way to Potsdam. Mr. Brophy and Grace always had a nice meal waiting for us. They were so kind and thoughtful. Wonderful memories. I send my sincere sympathy, thoughts and prayers

To Patrick's family,
I met Patrick at BGH. He was in the bed beside my Dad on 2nd floor. Although I only knew him for a short period of time his kindness and good nature was evident. I was shocked to read of his passing and wanted to reach out to say how sorry I am for your loss. Sincerely, Wendy Onstein

Pat continued to “teach” us all the things we didn’t know about living in the country - we were so grateful xo. Then there was the day he and Brian were sitting in his boat port , guns at the ready waiting for a water rodent to make itself evident. Fortunately they realized in time that our boat was also in their sites.
Joan & Pat were wonderful neighbours and we missed them when they moved to town.
Our very sincere condolences to the Brophy Family
