Scott Baker.
I’m sorry my brother we had not seen each other in years and I have no explanation for that. I’m certain the feeling is mutual that if you ever needed me, you wouldn’t have hesitated.
I have a couple of stories to share that have a common theme. Sheep.
You were a good Ole’ boy that farmed sheep and involved the uninitiated into the task of deworming them in New Dublin. If we had video recorders on our phones back then I’m certain Kevin Taggart, Jeff Sargent, Scott Leroux, and Greg Scott (apologies if I missed anyone) would be laughing at ourselves today.
I helped Scott deliver sheep one night. We first stopped at a restaurant in Brockville called the Shepherd's Christ Mill. Scott asked me if I was going to help him deliver these “dead soldiers''. I declined and he only slightly chuckled but never mocked me. I think I helped him with the next one.
The best and most amusing memory I have involving you with sheep was the way you described in great detail the time you were forced to take a job at a slaughterhouse. No, you had more respect for the animals than to discuss the job, but you were bent over laughing, contagiously, when you described the owner of a Greek restaurant presenting himself to you saying he had some sheep out in the car. Scott goes outside to see a Chrysler New Yorker decked out with a leather interior, and asks the man, “where are they? In the trunk”? Scott could hardly get the rest of the story out when he told us what the guy said. “No, they are in the back seat”.
Well, Scott said the man had something covering the backseat and a homemade divider segregating the front seats from the back, but as you’d expect those safeguards failed.
I salute you, my friend, you were a worthy player of “the game”.

Norm ,Shauna ,Jamie and Families ,im so sorry to read about Scotts passing .Its been a very long time since I've seen all of you ,I remember back in the day when I originally had the pleasure of meeting the family through the Heritage Tea room run and owned by Sue, ,and my parents Ron and Jan Purser owned and ran Heritage Crafts & Gifts , they were beside each other and my mom would always run to Sue's rescue when the Tea room would be really busy and mom just loved helping Sue out and you all became great friends for many years after .You were always such a fun family and full of laughter . I have often thought of you all over the years ! Time gets away from us way to fast . MY heartfelt condolences go out to you all and I hope that all the wonderful memories you have of Scott help you all through this very sad time ,Bless all your hearts ! Yours truly, Beth Hayden ( Purser)
