Passed away peacefully at the Mayfield Retirement Residence on Thursday August 12th, 2021. Jacqueline Blanche-Marie Cleary of Prescott, Ontario aged 86 years, daughter of Harvey and Annabelle Bergeron, widow of Howard Cleary of Spencerville; cherished mother of George Bishop, Gordon Bishop and Toby McEachern and cherished grandmother of six grandchildren and a dear friend of Diane Beaudoin. Jacqueline taught at Maynard Public School for over 25 years, French language was her specialty, and although she couldn’t remember all her students’ names, she could recognize them by their faces even years after retiring. Jacqueline had a beautiful singing voice and sang in the church choirs in Spencerville for a number of years. Jacquie had many talents and interests over the years, including hiking, cross-country skiing, piano, singing and cooking. Some interests had to be put aside over the years but her marvelous sense of humor she kept to the very end. Jacquie is survived by her three sons, her sisters Jeannine Robertson and Dorothy Donnelly, and her six grandchildren: Isabel Bishop, Alex Bishop, Grace Bishop, Cadence McEachern, Ewen McEachern and Esme McEachern.
