Peacefully entered into rest with family by her side at her home in Brockville on Tuesday April 6th, 2021. Marilynn (Stephens) Bracken of Brockville aged 63 years. Beloved wife of James Bracken. Loving mother of Chadwick (Amanda) of North Bay and Shone of Halifax. Cherished grandmother of Thain, William and Jacob. Dear daughter of the late Mike and Evelynn (Falconer) Stephens; sister of Richard (Barbara), Russell (Patricia), Heather Shill, Robert (Darlinne) and the late Rodger Stephens; daughter-in-law of Bruce and the late Nancy Bracken; sister-in-law of Karen Jardim (Brian), Susan Avery (Robert), Jane Loomis (James), and Craig Bracken. Also missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Marilynn saw a world full of colour, joy, and playfulness. She expressed this through her paintings and her friendships. Over the past 40 years, she and Jim have made homes and friends in Toronto, Chatham, Mississauga, Calgary, and Halifax before retiring in Brockville. She will be remembered as vibrant, caring and very engaging. And she will be deeply missed. Family will receive family and friends at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. E., Brockville for a visitation on Friday August 20th, 2021 from 1 to 1:45 p.m. followed by the Celebration of Marilynn’s Life to be held in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. In memory of Marilynn, donations to University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (UHKF), or Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
