Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on Wednesday May 21, 2008. The former Donna Elaine Mates of Brockville age 78 years. Beloved wife of the late John (Jack) Baily Penberthy. Dear mother of John Penberthy of Brockville, Marc Penberthy of Oshawa, Laura Wilson (David), David Penberthy and Michael Penberthy all of Toronto. Loving grandmother of Dawn, Rochelle and Jamie Penberthy, Leanne and Samantha Wilson, Shelley and George Penberthy and Caitlin Penberthy. Also survived by 11 great grandchildren and her companion Tom Sinn of Brockville. Predeceased by her parents George Edward Mates and his wife Mabel (Bradford) Mates. A Private Family Service was held in the Chapel of the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Thursday May 29, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment followed at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In memoriams to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
