Retired Ottawa Citizen Employee (Newsroom) Passed away peacefully at the Perth Hospital on Saturday December 12, 2020. Nellie (Salling) McDade of Portland age 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Michael John McDade. Loving mother of Mary Anne Hickey (Brett), Betty Lou Laviolette (JP), Monique Beamish (Mark). Much loved Baba of Bob MacGougan (Yara), Katie Kavanagh (Conal) and Baba Nell to her great-grand children, Mickey, Elka, Ciarán and Molly. Fondly remembered brothers (their wives), a sister and several nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her many dear friends. A private family Interment will take place at Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa. In memory of Nellie, donations to the Perth Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
