Entered into rest, with family by his side, at his family home on Thursday July 30th, 2020. Aren Groen of Cardinal and formerly of Ottawa aged 89 years. Beloved husband of the late Simona (Oorschot) Groen. Loving father of Dinah Newberry (Wayne) of Kanata, Sharon Vrieling (Jerry) of Cardinal, Aren Groen Jr. of Ottawa and Richard Groen (Julianne Carioto) of Cardinal. Cherished Opa of Erica Williscroft, Kevin Newberry, Trevor Vrieling, Vivian Groen and the late Pamela Vrieling; and seven great grandchildren. Son of the late Aren and Johanna (Langenberg) Groen. Also predeceased by sisters Catharina & Cornelia. Fondly remembered by Johanna Carr (the late Wayne) and many other nieces, nephews and friends. Special mention very much deserved to PSW’s Denisha, Rhonda, Nurse Kelsea, Dr. Thomas and all those involved in Dad’s care. A private family interment has taken place at Oakland Cemetery.
