Audrey and family: I am so sorry for your loss. As you know when he attended my coffee group at the Wedge Wood we shared many great stories and laughs. We had a special bond as Al reminded me of my own dad. He was always the bright spot of my day. I knew that I was his favorite because I always had to sit beside him during the group. I enjoyed our special time when I would help him out to the car. We were blessed to have a known and had such a gentleman in our lives.

Allan Smith told me the greatest story of he and his wife crossing the Canada-US border in a snowstorm in one of his big, old cars. It remains an all time highlight for me in remembering Allan. He certainly knew his cars. He was a true gentleman.

From David, Kathryn, Mitchell, Jessica and Stephanie Beattie...we would like to pass on our sincere condolences to Audrey and the family for your loss! Al was a long time cherished employee at Beattie Dodge, where we first met him. He was such a nice man and to our family, he became a good friend, fellow Believer, co-member of the C-Road Church and THE CANDY MAN- he was never without pocket candy! Our kids, even as adults, still called him that every time we saw him. Al will be missed greatly!
Our prayers and love are with you Smith Family!

Aunt Audrey, Mike (Norma), Anita (Roger) and family. Uncle Allan was a kind soul. He always had a smile and big hug for me. He and Aunt Audrey showed a genuine interest in our family past and present. He was a real "people person" who enjoyed helping anyone he could. It was always a treat to go to Brockville to visit Uncle Allan ,Aunt Audrey , Mike and Anita. He will be greatly missed here but we rejoice that he is now free from the physical limitations of age and that he is with his Lord and Savior as well as his brothers and sister and parents. Love Ruth and Ken Allison

Uncle Allan was a kind, gentle and generous man and younger brother to my dad Earl Smith. He was a good person, had a great sense of humour and always made me feel like I mattered to him. I remember him selling my dad a 1957 Impala which was a flash car at the time and I got to wash the big wings on the back of the car. I was probably about 8 at the time. I’m sorry he is gone. My deepest condolences to everyone especially Aunt Audrey on his passing.

Audrey, Michael, Anita, and families,
My deepest condolences on Al's passing.
As a coworker with Al at Beattie Dodge in the mid to late 80s, I experienced the sincerity, warmth, and charm that he would provide to each customer and coworker he encountered.
25+ years later, when I would meet him on the street or in a store, those same attributes still came shining through. He always asked how my family was doing, and always asked about my wife by name.
I will remember Al as a gentleman, always smiling and making the time to visit with you whenever he saw you.
Sincerely,
Dave McCrae

Allan was my dad’s youngest brother. We remain as sweet and funny! He and Aunt Audrey were always a fun visit in our family home. They often brought a watermelon! I guess because it could be shared among us six kids!
He had the best cars of course and was always so dapper!
A kind and gentle soul who loved his fAmily deeply
We look forward to seeing you again soon!
