Peacefully entered into rest, with family by her side, at the Maxville Manor on Saturday May 23rd, 2020. Kay Gilmer (Shane) of Maxville and formerly of Brockville aged 100 years. Beloved wife of the late Gerry Gilmer. Loving mother of Anita Welsh (Wally) of Maxville. Cherished grandma of Alastair Welsh (Julie) of Lyn and Andrew Welsh (Shannon) of Crysler; and great grandma of Ainsley, Craig, Kaitlyn, Brynn and Abigail. Dear daughter of the late Richard and Eva (Carley) Shane; and sister of the late George Shane and Willa Cook (Gerald). Also missed by sister in law Lilah Gilmer and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Maxville Manor for their kind and considerate care of Kay over the past 6 years. In compliance with current Health and Public Safety Directives, there will not be a public Celebration of Kay’s Life at this time. Interment will at take place at Oakland Cemetery. In memory of Kay, donations to the Maxville Manor Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
