Muriel Gwenyth Tackaberry (Lee) passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 79. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Tackaberry and her parents William and Inez Lee, brothers Dwight, Byron, Carmen, Ronnie, Yates (Ken), and sister Dorothy Greer. Her absence will ache in the hearts of her children, Wayne Tackaberry (Sandra) of Athens, Lynne Fletcher (Al) of Vermont, Sharon Hodgkinson of Brockville, Shawna Tackaberry-Carleton (Jason) of Prescott; her grandchildren, Erin Moore (Darryl) of Kingston, Riley Tackaberry of Brockville, Kristen Tackaberry (Chris) of Toronto, Alex Hodgkinson (TJ) of Texas and Laura Carleton of Mount Forest. She is also survived by her sister Barbara McNaughton (Murray) of Arnprior, brother’s-in-law Bill Tackaberry (Florence) of Kingston and Blaine Tackaberry (Bonnie) of Athens, and Sister-in-law Anne Tackaberry of Brockville, as well as several nieces and nephews. Muriel married Robert Tackaberry April 16, 1960, they loved and raised their family together until his passing in 1999. She enjoyed time with family and friends and always welcomed people into her home for a meal, a visit or a cup of coffee and one of her homemade donuts. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl St. E, Brockville, on Thursday January 30th from 5-8pm and Friday January 31st from 10-11:15. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 11:30. Interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland.
