Mike was a kind, caring, and extraordinary individual. I lived across the street from Mike for over two decades and he was always pleasant and willing to help those around him. When I was young or away at school he would help my mother remove snow from our driveway and check in on the house when she was away. He always had a smile on his face and never failed to inspire that in me. I will remember Mike fondly and hope that you can find solace on the positive impact he left on those around him. He lives on in all the lives he touched.

Mike was a warm, compassionate man and a very funny one as well. I will never forget him leading the cheers at pep rallies in high school and the arrival of him on the field was a sure sign that fun would be had by all. My heartfelt condolences to his family. I know he will be missed. You can't think of him for long before the urge to smile overcomes you. RIP Mike.

Our sincere sympathy to all of the family. We had a great reunion with Mike last year. We hadn't seen each other for more than 25 years as we had moved away. It was as if we were never apart. Great guy.

Another of the really good guys gone. Mike was a near constant presence in our home on Rex Ave growing up, almost another brother. His constant good humour and crazy ways were always a joy to behold and appreciate. Our condolences to his family. He will be sorely missed.

I'm so saddened to hear of Mike's Passing. I knew him through the courts and he was always so very kind. I became aware of his illness when I saw him last November 25th. My sincerest condolences to Mike's family!!! I have not spoken or seen Mike in a couple of years-it was usually at the Ottawa District Funeral Assoc. dinners. Always enjoyed his company and conversations. This is indeed a shock!! We are supposed to live a long healthy life!!

Dorothy and family we are so sorry for your loss.
There are so many fond memories of Mike! He was one of the first Dispatchers that I worked with when I first came to Brockville. He made adjusting to a new Police Service so much easier with his great sense of humour and genuine care for those he worked with. You’ll be missed Mike!
Dorothy, our thoughts are with you.

Mike will be remembered as a wonderful coworker and great friend. For the past 29 years Mike would send me a ‘happy anniversary’ greeting every year as we hired together and he never once forgot. We had many laughs over the years at the expense of each other. I loved listening to his storytelling and seeing him get so excited talking about those things that he held near and dear to his heart, family, hockey, work and the water.
My heart aches for everyone during this very difficult time.
