My sincere condolences to all of Clifford's family. I live in Rivers, Manitoba and am a 91 year old distant cousin of Clifford's. I believe Clifford's ancestors came to the North Augusta area from County Armagh in Northern Ireland about 1837. My grandfather, James McFadden came to Canada from Tandragee, County Armagh in 1886. I believe it was 1987 when our families got reunited after 150 years, mainly due the efforts of Clifford's late wife, Wilna. After this contact was made Clifford came to Manitoba for a visit and stayed with my late wife and I for a few days. We kept in contact and I believe it was in 1998 that my wife and I travelled to Eastern Canada and we stayed with Clifford and Wilna at their farm at North Augusta for three days. It was a wonderful visit and they treated us royally. Amongst other things they toured us around and showed us some of the family history in the area. We kept in touch after that but unfortunately not as much as I would have liked. Shortly after our trip my wife, Marg's health failed with Parkinsons, severe dementia and some other problems and I was very busy with her care. And during that time I developed prostate cancer (which I a still fighting) so I had very little time to keep in touch with family and friends. I just wish my wife and I could have lived closer to your wonderful parents all through our 61 years of marriage, Once again my sincere condolences. I'm sure you will miss Clifford but he had a wonderful long life and you can be thankful for that. Don McF. P.S. I am going to try to make a memorial donation to the church mentioned in the obituary. D.J.M.

Clifford is one of the most interesting individuals that I have ever met.
I have known Clifford for well over 30 years, as a farmer, as a repair man, and most important as a Christian.
Clifford and I have travelled to Caintown many times for Church activities. Clifford loved Pastor Blatch, and the choir and special singers.
I had the honour of saying a few words at this dear wifes funeral. What an Honour !
I miss you Clifford and your friendship.

Cliff's independent lifestyle as he aged is a great source of inspiration for me. Always with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye, he will be sorely missed.

Sean I am so sorry to hear of your fathers passing. When I was down in Ontario and spent some very informative and enjoyable days with him and his showing the families history to me, I am eternally grateful for his time he spent with me.
I have often tried to contact him, but realize he was not on the internet. As a person who delves into the family history, his stories of my Grandmother Letitia who married my grandfather James, was very informative. As I never knew her, I rely on those who did. She died two years before I was born. As a child I didn't ask the questions of my grandfather that I should, it was only later as a teen I started inquiring about my family and the persons who where in my past. It was Clifford who filled in some of those gaps. I am eternally grateful.
