Obituary of Frederic Benjamin Simpkin

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Fred. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Fred is survived by his loving and adoring wife of 59 years, Jane, his children; John (Vivian), Sarah (Don), Ellen (Ron) and Joe. He leaves behind the loves of his life, his grandchildren, Ryan (Brienne), Olivia (Aaron), Jane (Seann), Claire (Koby), Sam, Erik, Alexander and great grandson, Cormack. He is also survived by his sisters, Alicia, Juanita (Don) and Mary and sisters in law, Mary and Joy. He was predeceased by his father Douglas, mother Mercedes, and brother Johnny. Family meant everything to Fred and he was a wonderful example of loyalty and love to all of us. We would like to extend our thanks to the staff at Bayshore and Palliative Care, especially Michelle and Jacob for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Royal Military College Foundation or Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care.
