Obituary of Boukje Dijkema
Peacefully passed away at the Maple View Lodge in Athens, to be with her Lord and Savior, on Friday December 21st, 2018. Bonnie (Schaafsma) Dijkema formerly of Brockville, age 91 years. Beloved wife of the late Anne “Andy” Bos. Loving mother of Audrey Bos, Ineke Dijkema (Richard), Lisa Dijkema (Gerald), Sylvia Bos, Andy Bos and the late Frank Bos (Joanne). Proud grandma and great grandma of many. Also, wife of the late Klaas Dijkema, father to Richard Dijkema, (Ineke), Gerald Dijkema (Lisa), Clarence Dijkema (Jane), Sid Dijkema (Cindy), Elske McArthur and Cathy DeKroon (Steven). She is survived by Brother Benedictus Schaafsma of Holland, her sister Audrey VanderWoude (Pete) of Maitland and many nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by parents Albert and Audrey (Visser) Schaafsma, sisters Sijke, Engeltje, Dirkije, Alice and Martha and brothers Doede, Dick, Lawrence and Alle.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Bonnie’s Life at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 117 Windsor Drive, Brockville, on Thursday December 27th, 2018 11a.m. Interment at Glen Elbe Cemetery, Athens.
