Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on Monday July 21, 2008. Gerald (Jerry) Howard Tackaberry of RR# 2 Addison aged 71 years. Beloved husband of Ann (Dawson) Tackaberry. Dear father of John Tackaberry (Joanne) of Victoria Harbour, ON, Susan Birtch (Gary) of Oxford Mills, Teresa Perkins (Ken) of Elizabethtown, Dan Tackaberry (Janine) of Merrickville and Lisa Purvis (Matthew) of Brockville. Jerry is survived by 13 grandchildren and 5 great granddaughters. Brother of William Tackaberry (Florence) of Bath, Helen Weldon (Ken) of Brockville and Blaine Tackaberry (Bonnie) of Athens. Survived by his sister-in-law Muriel Tackaberry of Fairfield and an aunt Grace Kirkland (Eldon) of Portland. Also survived by his father-in-law Leonard Dawson of Prince George, BC, sisters-in-law Ruth Nolan (Keith) of Abbottsford, BC and Donna Dawson (Dan Bell) of Prince George, BC and a brother-in-law Richard Dawson (Grace) of Prince George, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Ernest Tackaberry and his wife Ruby Mustard, a brother Robert Tackaberry and his mother-in-law Patricia Dawson. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday July 24, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
