Obituary of Elsie Eva Hunter
Peacefully entered into rest at the Broadview Nursing Centre in Smiths Falls on Wednesday June 13th, 2018. Elsie (Leblanc) Lapierre Hunter of Brockville and formerly of Toledo, aged 103 years. Beloved wife of the late George Lapierre and Walter Hunter. Loving mother of Jill Davis (John) of New Dublin and John Lapierre (Dorothy) of Elizabethtown. Cherished grandmother of Elizabeth Harris(Tony), Jennifer Forrest (David), John Davis (Cari), Ed Davis (Rebecca), Peter Davis (Mary Frances), Theresa Ostapchuk (Jay), Dianne Lapierre (Buaan Lam) and Janet Lapierre (Brian Sutten Quaid); and great grandmother of 17. Dear daughter of the late John and Ida (Rushford) Leblanc; and sister of the late Uldine Bruno, Noma Filion, Dona, Ellis and Lawrence Leblanc. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. E., Brockville, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. The Liturgy of the Christian Funeral will be celebrated at St Francis Xavier Church in Brockville on Monday June 18th, 2018 at 10 a.m. Interment St. Philip Neri Cemetery, Toledo followed by a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 475 in Toledo. In memory of Elsie, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Brockville District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care would be appreciated by family.
