Peacefully at the Brockville General, Garden Street Site with his family by his side on Monday October 13, 2008. Francis John Armstrong of North Augusta aged 84 years. Beloved husband of 60 years to Marie (Barton) Armstong. Dear father of Lee Armstrong and his wife Val of RR# 2 North Augusta and Dale Armstrong and his friend Anita of RR# 1 North Augusta. Loving grandfather of Leanne Molson (Anthony), David Armstrong (Lindsay), Jennifer Armstrong and Shania Armstrong and loving great grandfather of Cole and Jack Molson. Also survived by a sister Lorna McMaster at St. Lawrence Lodge Brockville, brothers-in-law Ryan McMaster of North Bay, Jim Barton and his wife Jean of Prescott as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents George Bertrum (Bert) Armstrong and his wife Bella (Flinn) Armstrong. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday October 16, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In memoriams to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatfully acknowledged by the family. St. James Masonic Lodge #74 G.R.C. will hold a Memorial Service at the Funeral Home Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. all sister Lodges are invited.
