Obituary of Madeline Ashton

Entered into rest at Maple View Lodge, Athens on Tuesday April 18, 2017.  Madeline (Dixie) Ashton in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Fred Ashton, loving mother of Dale Ashton (Gerry) of Ottawa, Greg Ashton of Venice, Florida and Rob Ashton (Catherine) of Brockville.  Proud grandmother of Scott, Alyssa, Chris, Dan, Jamie and Dylan.  Madeline is also survived by her sister June Kennedy of Brockville as well numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents Harold and Fern (Spence) Dixie and 6 siblings.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Friday from 6-8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday April 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Glen Elbe Cemetery, Athens.  In memory of Madeline, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.  Messages of condolence may be sent online at www.barclayfuneralhome.com.
