COOKE, Rodney William (Rod) - Retired DuPont Canada employee - Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Brockville General Hospital early Saturday, February 4, 2017. Rodney William Cooke at the age of 73 years. Beloved husband of Mary Cooke (nee Rieveley). Loving father of daughter Diane and son David (Jennifer). Cherished grandfather of Alice. Dear brother of Roger (Georgina) and Linda. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Clarence (Jimmy) and Irene (Reynolds) Cooke and brother Richard. In keeping with Rod's wishes cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life (wake) at Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville, on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 2-4 pm. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Rod can be made to the Brockville District Hospital Foundation, the Brockville Animal Shelter, or a charity of your choice, which will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
