Born at the Brockville General Hospital on July 27, 1924, daughter of Leroy and Edna Dickey (nee Barr). She grew up in Brockville and Maitland and attended the Brockville Business College which was located on Court House Square. She married John Voorneveld November 24, 1954. They honeymooned in Niagara Falls. They had two children Barbara Sharpe (Jack) and Robert Voorneveld (Glenna) and four grandchildren Victoria and Mark Beacock and Holly and Neil Voorneveld. Yvonne loved going to Florida for many, many winters. She had a life long passion for antiques, collectibles and auction sales. In recent years she resided at Sherwood Park Manor. A Private Family Memorial will be held at Oakland Cemetery. In memory of Yvonne, donations to Sherwood Park Manor would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
