Passed away with her family by her side at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site on Wednesday, November 5, 2008. Shirley June (Covey) McGarr of Brockville aged 78 years. Beloved wife of the late James M. (Jim) McGarr.Dear mother of James E. (Jimmie) McGarr of Brockville and Julie Broek of Kitchener. Loving grandmother of Adam and Eric Broek and Megan McGarr (Adie Crackles). Shirley is survived by her sister Kate Blancher (Claire) of Athens, as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Delbert Covey and his wife Helen) (Nellie) Stevens, her son Michael McGarr and by her siblings Idabelle Sands, Mable Tedford, Marjory Lawson, Helen McKay, Lyons Covey, Clara Percivel, Olive Lawson, Ethel Elmy, Marco Covey and Noel Covey. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street, East, Brockville on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment Glen Elbe Cemetery, Athens.
