BLACK, Vera Gertrude (Graduate of Brockville School of Nursing, 1942) Peacefully at the St. Lawrence Lodge in Brockville on Saturday January 23rd, 2016. Vera (nee Blanchard) formerly of Kingston aged 95 years. Beloved wife of the late George Lilley and Joseph Black. Dear sister of the late Fred (Mary), Glenn (Ruth) and Harold (Margaret) Blanchard. Loving aunt to Meryl Airhart (Fred), Tom (Susan) Blanchard, Maureen Talyor (Steven), Calvin and Greg Blanchard (Rose) and Sheila Lee (Regan). Also survived by step children Linda Black, Jo-Anne Abrams, Brenda, Michael, Jamie and Larry Black; many step grandchildren and grand nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by parents Lewis and Gertrude (Davis) Blanchard and step son Kevin Black. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East on Friday, from 2 to 4 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, January 30th, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
