I felt deep sadness when I heard of the passing of Aunt Lula. My thoughts and prayers are with Sheila, Tommy, Rick, and Rosalie and their families. Aunt Lula was an exceptional person who brought joy to everyone that she met. Her compassion and love for others was unparalleled. Her legacy lives on in her remarkable children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. I can see many of her traits in my own children. We were all blessed to have Aunt Lula in our lives.
I cherish the time that I spent as a young boy in Maitland with Uncle Lloyd and Aunt Lula. I think fondly of all of the time that we spent together at their home.
Some of my best memories are of the times we spent talking around the dinner table. I remember warmly the story telling of Uncle Lloyd and the numerous times that Aunt Lula would interject to temper the story. I just can imagine the stories that Uncle Lloyd must be telling Aunt Lula now.
Uncle Lloyd and Aunt Lula truly had a remarkable capacity for love for each other and all of their family. Aunt Lula always welcomed us at the doorstep with a big smile and hug. We always felt welcome and loved in her home. I imagine that this is how everyone felt when they met Aunt Lula.
Aunt Lula provided a shining example of how you should treat others. As a young boy, I learned a lot from Aunt Lula. I remember vividly how everyone lit up when Aunt Lula entered the room. She had a remarkable way of making people feel good. She never spoke a harsh word and was always the first to congratulate others. She genuinely cared for others.
I am extremely fortunate to have had Aunt Lula in my life. She was a great role model for me throughout my life. I am a better person because of knowing Aunt Lula. Aunt Lula will be missed greatly, but never forgotten.
Sincerely,
Darren Warburton (Vancouver BC)

Sheila, Tommy, Richard and Rosalie, please accept our deepest sympathies as to the passing of Aunt Lula. My brothers and I often spoke of her and Uncle Lloyd too. Ruth and Ken always made an effort to kept us up to date anytime they had seen or talked to her. They also mentioned the times that they had seen Tommy and relayed to us how all the Rennick family was. I know we haven't seen one another for some time but know that our hearts too feel your loss. Love Ted, Sherry and family.
